The Core..

It's a skill. You either got born with it or else maybe you can work on it. I don't know; I was born with it.

This is why The Core is one of my top movies. I've seen it at least a half dozen times.

It says FUCK YOU to science in favour of Science Fiction, which is what the genre is supposed to be about. Asking "out there" questions, challenging norms, chipping at the status quo. And best of all; tipping plain old reality on its head in service of the story; remembering that it is, ultimately; a movie.

It checks all the boxes. Yes, it's barmy. But if this crosses your mind whilst watching said movie you need to rewind, get the skills required to truly enjoy such a gem. It's almost an enlightenment test.

IF you can EN-JOY "The Core", 100%, without question; THEN, and only then, are you ready to "Do Science". Or whatever line you fancy. Every now and then, which is a trillion-per-second, particles collapse on your synapse.

What happens then is dependant on your "state". It could be nothing. It could be the world-shattering invention that changes the world. It depends on your state.

Word: Get in a state that can enjoy The Core, without question, and you literally invite god-like particles into the mix..
