Mark Jackson

When two people tell me I should check out a thing I check out a thing; that's like God talking.

So, The Orville. It's exactly the sort of show I would normally avoid. But after eight episodes, I realise I am bingeing (okay, slowly, but still, exclusively watching this). Bingeing is usually the best way to watch shows.

Funny and on point; it's everything Sci-Fi is supposed to be. So nails-it, nails-it, and then Mark Jackson. This guy's physical acting is next-level. Playing an artificial lifeform isn't easy, ask Alan Tudyk. But in every scene he injects this playful, ironic superiority. It's beautiful.

I rarely visit imdb, but here I am, finding out exactly who plays this Isaac character. Here's the thing. There's no work listed since 2023. WTF's going on?

Alan is great, of course, but this dude actually thought (or someone did) about how a next-level AI being would react physically to, and around humans, and then he does it, down to the smallest motion of a digit. Watch it!

I visited imdb a) to find out who he is and b) to go check out his other work. But.. where is it?

Have these producers and casting folk not noticed?

ERROR: loop detected.

;o)
