I. Honesty

	'Honesty's the best
	Policy'. Got sick of hearing that line.
	Knew fine what they wanted to know,
	what I was going to tell,
	and that was the end of it.
	O foul lesson!
	And I mean stinking.

	Try 'Essential', Oh forget it;
	It's lost all meaning.
	What about 'Absolutely necessary';
	Doesn't really scan, does it?
	'Essential'? No, we tried that.
	Och, what's the point?

	I know this and only this about honesty,
	and I've absolutely no doubt about it,
	and though I usually shy from swearing,
	you're just fucked without it.
