STOP PRESS: If you came here via one of the many Arabic (so-called) "Hacker" sites, looking for some kind of defacement, sorry to disapoint, but the script-kiddie who claims to have done this is a complete fake. He's taking credit for this, which as you can see is, and always has been, a practical joke. Perhaps Alberhali Khalid Abdul Samad should have checked his facts before publishing "the article".

Yes folks! I got a Fatwā! smiley for :D

Also, as far as I know; and I would; corz.org has no affiliation with Isreal, it's government, Secret service, the Zionists, or anything else of that nature. I'm a Scot! I am quite fond of Jaffa oranges, though. smiley for

السلام عليكم

I am cor, and I am a poet. Though I'm not entirely sure what that means, exactly, I do know that when I boil words down to where things make most sense to me, people look and call it "poetry". I call it reality. I am a poet, and everything I do stems from that simple fact; the songs, the code, images and design, and of course, the words. I like words.

When I have a mind to, I drop large chunks of them in my blog. The less said about that, the better; except perhaps that it was my first php project; being in need of blogging software, and simultaneously extraordinarily choosy. I've coded a fair bit of php since, as needs arose, and today, everything here is 100% DIY; and mostly available for download, web-site spare parts™, modules you can plug together to build custom functionality into your website. Help yourself. Though if you use them, or find anything here valuable to you, please do consider a donation, so that I can eat. Thanks!

You may find this place unfamiliar at first; the design and navigation, my style of presentation and attention to detail, my seemingly endless patience with questions, and personal attention to the comments, but that's just the way it has to be, for me. This is virtually my home, as well as my public workshop, exhibit space, journal archive, software, music, and ebook publishing house, tutorial collection, and if I could devote more time to this paragraph, probably other, thoroughly impressive nouns. In short, my web site.

I like to think of this place as a cave structure up in the foothills, away from the big cities and communities of the internet; mindfully off the beaten track. People wander by, usually looking for something, sometimes lots of people, but no one is asked to join anything, or sign anything, or say anything, even pay anything; though this is strongly suggested, for everyone's sake. I write things down, and people; you; come to read them. Some stop and ask questions, and I answer them, and this too, is written down, and so it goes..

"Great info been really helpful trying to get a handle on rewrite/redirects."

I seem to have become an authority on a number of subjects; I have a passion, when time is on my side, for creating tutorials; how-to's for tricky things, distilling dense subjects down to understandable, which folk say I have a talent for. Most people who find this place, do so looking for these tasty morsels, guided by cunning SEO and countless inward links no doubt. Thanks, by the way - Google likes me better when you do that - but please, cut it with the mindless nofollow business! Hey! I'm glad I saved you all those precious hours - time is valuable stuff. I'd love to keep doing more of this sort of thing for you, and keep giving it all away for free, too. You can help, by donating even a very small amount. Also, I tend to originate stuff, and predict things. Stuff and things, eh!

I get up to lots of other stuff, creating things; though my penchant for hiding them away means may you not discover the truly interesting pieces unless you look for them. To that end and others, I created corzoogle, a fast, secure, and uniquely real-time search engine for web sites, indeed archives of any kind, which you can access at the top of almost every page here on-site. It's become a bit popular, too; though I do wish webmasters would stop removing the corz.org links, that's just plain low. It's bad enough you don't pay me, fuckers. And I do keep a list, you know. I'm thinking "rogue's gallery" here on-site, be warned.

Did I say extraordinarily choosy, I meant fussy bastard. I like things done right, especially on my desktop, where I do spend a great deal of time. This fussybastardness means I'm easily frustrated by programs that don't work exactly the way I expect them to, and this has led me to create a few desktop applications myself, mainly windows programs, something I greatly enjoy.

Here you'll find a growing selection of these, including checksum, my drop-dead simple hashing utility, Batch Runner, for running multiple programs in a batch, corz clock, a desktop clock with alarms, chimes, speaking and lots more besides, the color pickin chooser, for colours and colors, as well as the ever-popular KDE-Sizer, and much more. I'm told many of these programs are rather good, but don't take my word for it; download them for free, and see for yourself.

If you need to contact me, check out the contact page. It also tells you about other ways to get $hit to me, as well as my mail address and what-not. I seem to be on top of my inbox these days, so mail is probably the most efficient means of contacting me. If I don't reply promptly, it's possible your mail got lost somewhere, or even deleted. I figure you'll mail me back, and with feeling this time!

If you are mailing, remember, I don't dig spam, so you will need to compose a mail that can elude my three hungry shit-list daemons, if you can. As well as employing numerous artificially intelligent semantical definition engines, I just plain banned 90% of the English language from my inbox. As nmap says (because it's a technical term), Good Luck!

for now..
