Developing on Windows®..

I'm just starting this section of the site, and will be growing it fairly slowly, as spare time allows. I'll drop useful things here, tutorials, tricks, code, and more. I'll probably focus on AutoIt, an incredible programming language, which I use a lot, because it enables you to get things done, quickly.

I have no time for code snobbery, and I'm not impressed by complexity. AutoIt is pretty high-level, and provides a means to build applications with the minimum of fuss, enabling you to free your mind of irrelevant underlying workings, and focus on the user interface design and functionality of your application; where I code best.

If you need a real turn of speed (i.e. checksum) you can code DLLs in C/C++/etc., and then link in them in to your app. Yes, AutoIt is pretty cool, as you'll see.

Don't forget to check out the links at the top-right, for software, source, tools, includes, and much more.

AutoIt setup for EditPlus
I just can't think in these other Text Editors!™

If you haven't decided on an IDE, I'd definitely recommend you take a look at EditPlus.

Welcome to!

Since switching hosts (I hope you are alright, Ed! Wherever you are …) quite a few things seems to be wonky.

Juggling two energetic boys (of very different ages) on Coronavirus lockdown, I'm unlikely to have them all fixed any time soon. Mail me! to prioritise!
