Excellent,
Free..
It's OpenWrt.

Or.. How to turn a £30 router into a £300 router!

OpenWrt has a pretty good WiKi, which I occasionally contribute to myself. If you need info about OpenWrt, that is definitely the best place to start.

Having said that, there are some things which could do with a bit of pure corz.org treatment. Snippets of useful setup info..

Try it..

OpenWrt is pretty amazing, an open-source firmware that you can chuck on a cheap router to give it the functionality of an expensive router. It's Linux, so within hardware limits you can do just about anything.

If you desire advanced network functionality and have a capable router, especially one you don't particularly need, I definitely recommend you give it a try.

Have fun!
