"perfect stealth") config file for Viking I chipset based broadband router, Like the BT Voyager 205. Upload this to your router via FTP, or use the web interface.. http://192.168.1.1/hag/emweb/bkupRestoreConfigNS.htm It will reboot immediately. It may even look like the upload failed. It didn't - your page/ftp session has hung - the unit is rebooting, just kill that. When the router comes back up, the new settings will be applied. The router is now stealthed, with all the tweaks found at the router page.. http://corz.org/network/routers/Voyager/bt.voyager.205_router.how-to.php There is a DHCP pool of addresses from 192.168.1.50 - 192.168.1.99 available for your guests, or whatever. No USB interface is available. Your PS2, Xbox, whatever needs to be at the IP address 192.168.1.100 for this to work as expected, enter its network configuration and setup like this.. IP: 192.168.1.100 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS server: 192.168.1.1 DNS server2: 212.159.11.150 (optional) All incoming requests will be forwarded to the console at 192.168.1.100. If you need to run some p2p application, server, or whatever on another machine, simply create a port-forwarding rule as normal, it will work fine. NOTE: the tcp/udp time-outs for this config file have been tweaked right down.. modify nat global tcpidletimeout 1200 tcpclosewait 10 tcptimeout 10 udptimeout 10 enable which should help with server lists, etc. you may want to play with these. my usual defaults are.. modify nat global tcpidletimeout 3600 tcpclosewait 30 tcptimeout 30 udptimeout 30 enable UPnP has also been enabled. It makes console life easier. Though, you may want to disable these services in your peecee. If you have any problems with this cfg file, please do let me know! ;o) (c) corz.org 2005
