This topic describes how to save configuration changes to permanent memory.

Saving Changes

Whenever you use the configuration program to change system settings, the changes are initially placed in temporary storage called random access memory or RAM. Your changes are made effective when you apply them, but can be lost if the device is turned off.

You should Save changes to save them permanently to flash memory.

Applying changes saves them only until the device is reset or powered down. Saving changes saves them permanently.

To save changes, click the Save button in the menu on the left. The changes are saved to permanent storage.
