I've a little white shelf
and I looked and it was empty

I said 
the snow's a foot deep here
no way I'm gettin even the Landie up the hill.
She's two hundred yards away,
using a mobile.

But yoo dinnae hae a landie-

I Find a glass, and some seeds,
Sunflower mostly.

An old milk bottle sits on the sill, 
gatherin up the sun,
dregs from the kettle, pours some in.
